    De László writes to James Brown Scott of his return to London following a trip to the continent; he mentions his sister's death. He gives details of his forthcoming travel plans, which involve two weeks in Norway with his family, a spa and Paris. He comments on the recipient's "noble work" that is "so much connected with the future peace of Europe" (Scott was an authority on international law) and thanks him for sending a copy of his book

Bénédite is pleased to hear of de László's intended projects for next Spring. He mentions the artist's "vivid and expressive" portrait of André Dézarrois [110995], which "reveals the depth of his nature". Dézarrois would like to take de László to Montmartre

    Losses/missing pages? Frau Carl Valentin (née Paula Laub), the artist’s youngest sister, known as Pauline, writes to de László about her journey back to Munich from London by way of Frankfurt. She thanks the artist profusely for his kindness, including a hamper from Harrods, which he had sent to Munich. She enjoyed spending Christmas with her brother and his children. Pauline has received her portrait [2817], which the artist forwarded on. "It lives, it breathes and reminds me of past days of beauty and... of the luck to have been able to share the experience of the art of a master in his temple", she writes (DLA015-0016 and DLA015-0017 were previously partial items that have now been merged into DLA015-0016. DLA015-0017 has been deleted)
