    Kautsch is glad de László is in the mountains, however, he (de László) seems overworked. Kautsch is busy with work. He asks whether they could meet in Munich. Beneditte [Bénédite?] agrees that de László should not postpone his dedication for too long; he mentions "George Petit's" and "acquired by the State", but that it is ultimately de László's decision.

Every nation has 1 painter, 1 sculptor, 1 architect, etc. De László was suggested as the painting representative for Hungary; Kautsch would like to know if de László will accept this position; Kautsch mentions some awards he has recently received.

    Kautsch attended the first "Permanency meeting" ahead of June's grand Art Congress, "a fraternisation from all artists from all countries". The other artists were sorry de László was not there; Kautsch spoke on his behalf. The Permanency Commission was elected for five years; there were no Hungarians present; the Viennese sent many well-known people (e.g. Klimt, Hoffmann); Kautsch was elected delegate in Vienna and de László as "Secretaire"; he will receive official notice.
