    Sigmund Münz has spent the summer in Vienna, preparing a project for the League of Nations in Geneva. He will apply for the establishment of a Commission for Education, which the Austrian government will support. He asks if de László can forward a copy to the Foreign Minister, Austen Chamberlain. Count Mensdorff will hopefully support him in Geneva, and he asks for de László's support too

Mentions forthcoming trip to Egypt. Is glad Regent Horthy and Count Bethlen have consented to the exhibition of their portraits. Was interested to hear his two pictures were exhibited in Scandinavia. His picture [10498] has arrived back damaged. Refers scathingly to Karlovszky's appointment (DLA016-0058 & DLA016-0059 were previously partial items that have now been merged into DLA016-0058, AD 14/07/21)

    Sigmund Münz attaches the draft of his article and asks for images. Also attaches a copy of his "Nación" article about the meeting between de László and King George V. Mentions meetings with Countess Merenberg, daughter of Czar Alexander II, and the Swedish Chargé d'Affaires, Reuterswärd, formerly of Fitzjohn's Avenue. Refers to de Laszlo's son's experiences in Oxford with the Norwegian Crown Prince (letter probably dates from 1924 [compare with DLA016-0064])

The pale green walls of the drawing-room make a good background for de László's portraits of Mrs and Mrs Chamberlain, and of their children, Joe and Diane; a portrait of Chamberlain in his robes as Chancellor of the Exchequer has "place of honour" in the dining room
