    Pesti Hírlap. Marking the coronation of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, Pesti Hírlap published a special issue featuring portraits by de László [9123][4460]. At the artist’s suggestion, Dr László Siklóssy sent copies to Queen Elizabeth’s mother, the Countess of Strathmore, who replied with a handwritten letter of thanks (included), praising the portraits and sharing her interest in Hungary. Historical connections between Scotland and Hungary through the Countess' lineage and Glamis Castle.

    De László has been enjoying his time with the Grand Duke of Hesse, describing him as a "fascinating person, an enthusiast for all that is beautiful and noble"; he will try to include portraits of the Grand Duke and Duchess [5937][5933] in his forthcoming exhibition; shipping (and framing) arrangements for the exhibition (Nemzeti Szalon, 1907).
