Princess Marie Louise, a recent guest, admired de László's portrait of María de Mercedes de Alvear y Elortondo [3434], a portrait Millington-Drake describes as a "wonderful and inspiring likeness of a girl of classic countenance and exceptional distinction." Millington-Drake also admired the artist's portraits of the Green Devoto children [5383][110544]; recently received a postcard reproduction from "Babsie" d’Ursel of her "beautiful" sketch [4981]
