Gyenes reports that de László's painting the "Persian Dancer" [9884], donated to the Munkácsy Guild's prize draw, reverted to the Guild after the winning ticket-holder failed to pay for or return his tickets. Seeking permission to reuse the work in the 1937 draw to raise funds for a proposed Munkácsy monument, Gyenes notes that it is currently in his care. In a draft reply, de László declines, instead deciding to donate the painting to the Capital City Museum, while expressing support for the monument project.
