    Sigmund Münz thanks de László for the depiction of their circle at the Lido and for the portrait of the artist's son, John. He hopes Henry's nuptials (which de László did not approve of) will not cause any long-term damage. He is interested that de László is painting Lord Reading [6747] and that he is going to Lisbon. Whilst there, he should meet Sebastiano Nicotra, Apostolic Nuncio to Portugal. He may also meet Count Adelmann, Mrs Pagenstecher’s cousin

    De László mentions his travel plans to Bavaria and desire to see Münz; reference to the success of his exhibition at Charpentier's; general family news, including of Stephen who is convalescing after an operation; remains busy with portraiture, though longing to paint his "large canvas"; latest portraits including that of Lloyd George, "a very nice companion".

    A. S. Webster confirms the safe arrival of the “Horses of St. Marks’s” [11636] following its exhibition (Charpentier, 1931). De László's group of portraits [5637][4149][6805][10031] is the "most admired" in the gallery; Mrs Stevenson will soon be requesting her portrait's return. Saw a photograph of the artist and his portrait of Lloyd George [6076] in today's newspaper
