096-0049

Dundee Advertiser. Positive review of de László's three portraits on loan to the Perth Art Association's exhibition at the Sandeman Library. The portrait of the Lord Provost "wonderfully virile and direct" [5273]; that of Lady Forteviot [5199] "an imposing composition" and Gainsborough-like; the portrait of Mrs J.M. Fraser [4727] ranks with the best of Raeburn, Lawrence or Romney.
